How Fox & Hare handles customer, recipient and website information.

Who we are
Fox & Hare (ABN 59 371 095 623) operates from Young, New South Wales. Privacy questions can be sent to lexie@foxandhareco.com.au.
Information we collect
• Buyer information, including name, email, phone number, billing address and order history.
• Recipient and delivery information, including name, address, phone number, delivery instructions and gift-message content.
• Personalisation, engraving, occasion, preference and enquiry details supplied by the customer.
• Website and device information, including IP address, browser, cookies, pages viewed and interactions with the store.
• Payment status and transaction references. Full payment-card details are processed by Shopify and payment providers and are not stored by Fox & Hare.
Why we use information
We use personal information to provide and deliver orders, process payments and refunds, communicate about orders, provide customer service, prevent fraud, comply with law, improve the store, keep business and tax records, and send marketing only where consent or another lawful basis applies. Customers can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
When information is shared
We disclose information only as reasonably required to operate the store, including to Shopify, payment processors, delivery providers, professional advisers, technology and analytics providers, and regulators or law-enforcement bodies where required. Some providers may process information outside Australia. Their own privacy terms and safeguards also apply.
Storage, security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet system is completely secure. We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described, including legal, tax, dispute and fraud-prevention requirements, then delete or de-identify it where practicable.
Access, correction and complaints
Contact lexie@foxandhareco.com.au to request access to, or correction of, personal information, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify identity before acting. We will respond within a reasonable time and explain if a request cannot be fulfilled. If the Privacy Act 1988 applies and a concern remains unresolved, the customer may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Cookies and Shopify
The Shopify store uses cookies and similar technologies needed for cart, checkout, security, preferences, analytics and permitted marketing. Cookie choices may be offered through Shopify’s privacy controls. Shopify’s own privacy documentation explains how Shopify processes customer information.
Changes
We may update this policy when our practices, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
